Here it is August 2007. I know I haven't put anything on this site for a long time. That's because being the kind people that we are, we've been trying to work with Khov to work through our problems. But just like the Khov home building process and the Khov mortgage process, the Khov post settlement repair service process SUCKS!!. They sure are quick to take your money and build you a crappy house, but they all but disappear when you want them to fix the problems left over during the building process. Oh, and let me throw a four letter word at you.....MOLD!! Yep, we got it. I will give Khov some credit (just a little though, if you want more credit given to them maybe you should start www.IloveKHOV.com, I bet they can't give that domain name away)....anyway, Khov did have a company come in to abate the mold. But would they check for additional mold, no, even though they have a little gizmo that can scan for it. I gotta wonder what else is lurking behind our walls. I wonder if their refusal to housewrap our house had anything to do with this? I wonder if my child's breathing problems have anything to do with mold we haven't found yet? Just wondering. Thanks Khov...thanks for SUCKING!!
The emails keep pouring in with complaints. Also, I am sad to report that www.khovalert.com and all of the wonderful other sites developed by the person who started khovalert.com, are no more. He was either forced out or bought out by Khov. Khovalert.com now points back to Khov. I am, however, also happy to report that another site www.notkhov.com was started by another unsatisfied Khov home buyer.
Here you go.......this was posted on the old message board by someone who claimed to be a K Hovnanian employee. I sure am glad I bought a home from a company that has employees who call their customers "crybabies." Enjoy! I did.

"I work for Khov and I know firsthand that most of the homeowners that are the biggest whiners are just trying to get something for nothing. Also, most of them are monkey-see, monkey-do type people. For example, If a HO, (Homeowner), gets something replaced that doesn't even need replacing within a week all the others are calling with the same so called problem. What about all the free stuff you people get? I could go on and on with just the freebies I see HO's getting, yet they still piss and moan the next day.
Heres a newsflash for you HO's.
KHov builds production houses, not custom houses. It's a tradeoff you make for getting a bigger home on a bigger lot for a cheaper price.
If anything I think Khov should offer a free course to all HO's on basic home maintenance. If I had a dollar for everytime I had to caulk a piece of trim or tighten a screw on a doorknob I'd be a millionaire. Maybe I will suggest that they give each HO a care package at closing. In it would be things like a caulk gun, a couple of screwdrivers, a paint brush and touch up paint. (to be used for the nicks and scratches that they do on moving day), and a box of kleenex if things get too bad!
And for the biggest crybabies, (you know who you are), You HO's will always wait the longest just for being a pain!

My wife and I made a horrible mistake when we decided to buy our "dream" home from K. Hovnanian. We want to educate you, so you don't make the same mistake that we, and the others who shared their stories with us, did.
I haven't put a bunch of content on the site for three reasons: First, we're still trying to settle into the house; we just had a kid; and I've been contacted by K. Hovnanian's lawyers. They want to shut me up. They don't believe in freedom of speech.
By the way, do you want to guess who has registered www.Khovsucks.net? How about www.Khovnaniansucks.com? Would it surprise you that they are registered by K. Hovnanian Enterprises?
Until I get more content on the site, I have included some links to stories about K. Hovnanian below. Also, you can submit your complaint to me for inclusion on this site and view the complaints left by others.
